Is it time to update your shower? Does your old shower have low power and a disappointing spray? The most cost efficient way to increase the power of your existing or new shower is with a shower pump. The CTFORCE20SU is a new addition to the Salamander shower pump range. It’s a single impeller type pump which is designed to pump either cold or hot water to an outlet like a tap or shower. A single impeller pump is most commonly used to pump the hot side in a water system (this should be gravity fed) where the cold is fed by the mains. They can also be used as a separate pair of pumps for the hot and cold. These are used where the cold storage tank and hot cylinder are not within a close proximity to each other so for practical reasons two separate pumps are used instead of a twin pump. This is also a regenerative type pump which simply act like a powered water mill. They grab the water while rotating and spin it around and back out the other side of the impeller. The main benefits for this type of pump are that they’re generally easier to install and are very durable.
